Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior System Software Engineer - Component Bringup to join our NVIDIA family! As a Senior System Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with NVIDIA's world-class software development team and help define the architecture and bring up components for NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle platform.The ideal candidate for this position will have a B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 7+ years of experience in system software engineering, including system bring-up and debugging on embedded systems. You should also have extensive experience with embedded systems development, embedded software development, system design, and debugging using C/C++ and assembly. Knowledge of Linux internals, driver development, and kernel debugging is also necessary to be successful in this role.If you are a passionate and motivated individual with a strong understanding of system software engineering, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop software components for the NVIDIA autonomous vehicle platform, including system bring-up and debugging.
  2. Design and implement embedded systems and software architectures, using C/C++ and assembly.
  3. Analyze system requirements and create design documents to support system development.
  4. Research, design, develop, and debug embedded software and systems.
  5. Troubleshoot and debug errors found in system software and components.
  6. Participate in code reviews and provide technical feedback.
  7. Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for system and software components.
  8. Optimize system performance and improve system scalability.
  9. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines are met.
  10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advances in system software engineering.
