  1. Develop cutting-edge safety features for NVIDIA's automotive products.
  2. Collaborate with a team of engineers to design and implement functional safety solutions for autonomous driving.
  3. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry standards related to functional safety.
  4. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential safety risks and opportunities for improvement.
  5. Design and implement software solutions to mitigate safety risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate safety features into the overall product design.
  7. Test and validate functional safety features to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.
  8. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety features and make recommendations for improvements.
  9. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  10. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high-quality code standards.
  11. Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and translate them into functional safety requirements.
  12. Keep accurate documentation of all software development processes and adhere to project timelines.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and any potential roadblocks.
  14. Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's processes and methodologies.
  15. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for new features and enhancements to existing features.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Functional Safety Standards: A Senior Software Engineer For Functional Safety Tools At Nvidia Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Functional Safety Standards Such As Iso 26262, Iec 61508, And Do-178B/C.

  • Experience With Safety-Critical Software Development: Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Developing Safety-Critical Software For Complex Systems, Preferably In The Automotive Or Aerospace Industries.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages And Tools: Strong Programming Skills In Languages Such As C/C++, Python, And Java Are Essential For This Role. Additionally, Experience With Development Tools For Safety-Critical Software, Such As Misra-C, Is Highly Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Embedded Systems: As A Senior Software Engineer For Functional Safety Tools, Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Embedded Systems, Including Hardware And Software Components.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: This Role Requires Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Hardware And System Engineers, As Well As Customers. Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Design And Implement Functional Safety Tools.
