Senior PTX Compiler Development Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior PTX Compiler Development Engineer to join the NVIDIA team. In this position, you will play a critical role in developing NVIDIA’s PTX compiler, which is used to program the company’s graphics processing units (GPUs). You will be responsible for creating and implementing innovative compiler technologies that will drive the performance, power efficiency, and feature set of our GPUs.To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of compilers and their internals, including backend optimization passes, codegen, and register allocation. You must also have a strong background in parallel architectures, compiler optimization, and software engineering. Additionally, you should be an excellent problem solver and be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop new compiler technologies for NVIDIA’s PTX compiler.
2. Implement compiler optimization passes, codegen, and register allocation.
3. Provide expert guidance on parallel architectures, compiler optimization, and software engineering.
4. Research and analyze new technologies, trends, and systems to improve the performance, power efficiency, and feature set of GPUs.
5. Troubleshoot and debug compiler-related issues.
6. Collaborate with other teams to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with other systems.
7. Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure quality products.
8. Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns.
