- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and create innovative solutions to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and emerging tools to continuously improve design methodologies.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools for physical design flows to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex physical design issues, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers in physical design methodology best practices.
- Work closely with vendors and external partners to evaluate and integrate new tools and methodologies into the design flow.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in physical design methodologies to enhance overall design quality and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and presentations to share knowledge and best practices with team members.

Extensive Experience In Physical Design Methodology Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Developing Physical Design Methodologies For Complex Asic Designs.
Proficiency In Industry-Standard Eda Tools: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Industry-Standard Eda Tools Such As Synopsys Icc/Icc2, Cadence Innovus, And Mentor Calibre. Knowledge Of Scripting Languages Like Perl, Tcl, And Python Is Also Desirable.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Physical Design Concepts And Methodologies: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Physical Design Concepts Such As Floorplanning, Placement, Routing, And Timing Closure. Experience With Advanced Techniques Like Clock Tree Synthesis And Power Estimation/Optimization Is A Plus.
Familiarity With Advanced Process Nodes: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Designing And Taping Out Chips At Advanced Process Nodes (16Nm And Below). Knowledge Of Finfet Technology And Its Impact On Physical Design Is Highly Desirable.
Excellent Problem-Solving And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
