  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing them with appropriate solutions.
  2. Utilize expertise in agronomy to educate and advise customers on the best crop nutrition and protection solutions.
  3. Conduct on-site visits and consultations to evaluate crop health and provide tailored recommendations.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sales strategies and plans.
  5. Meet and exceed sales targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  6. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Represent Nutrien at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  10. Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
  12. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
  13. Promote sustainable and responsible farming practices to customers.
  14. Travel to various locations as required to serve customers and attend meetings.
  15. Conduct market research and provide insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Agriculture: A Sales Agronomist At Nutrien Should Possess A Strong Educational Background In Agriculture Or A Related Field To Understand The Technical Aspects Of Farming And Provide Valuable Insights To Customers.

  • Knowledge Of Crop Management Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Sound Understanding Of Crop Management Techniques Such As Soil Health, Pest Management, Irrigation, And Fertilization To Assist Farmers In Maximizing Their Yields.

  • Sales Experience: A Sales Agronomist Should Have Previous Experience In Sales Or Customer Service, Preferably In The Agricultural Industry. This Would Enable Them To Build And Maintain Relationships With Customers And Provide Effective Solutions For Their Farming Needs.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential For A Sales Agronomist To Understand The Needs Of Customers And Convey Technical Information In A Clear And Concise Manner. They Should Also Be Able To Give Presentations And Conduct Training Sessions For Farmers.

  • Ability To Work Independently: Nutrien's Sales Agronomists Are Expected To Work Independently And Manage Their Territory Efficiently. They Should Be Self-Motivated, Organized, And Able To Prioritize Tasks To Achieve Sales Targets And Provide Excellent Customer Service.
