- Develop and implement sales strategies to promote and sell Nutrien products and services to farmers
- Provide expert agronomic advice to farmers to help them optimize their crop production
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers to understand their needs and effectively promote Nutrien products
- Stay up-to-date on the latest agricultural technology and industry trends to provide cutting-edge advice to farmers
- Collaborate with other members of the sales team to develop and execute sales plans for designated territories
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to educate farmers on the benefits and usage of Nutrien products
- Meet and exceed sales targets by actively pursuing new business opportunities and maintaining existing customer relationships
- Attend industry events and conferences to network with potential customers and stay informed about industry developments
- Prepare and submit sales reports and forecasts to management on a regular basis
- Continuously seek out new market opportunities and potential partnerships to expand Nutrien's customer base.
Bachelor's Degree In Agronomy Or Related Field: A Sales Agronomist At Nutrien Must Possess A Strong Educational Background In Agronomy Or A Related Field To Effectively Understand And Communicate With Customers About Agricultural Products And Services.
Previous Sales Experience In The Agricultural Industry: Candidates For This Role Should Have Prior Experience In Sales Within The Agricultural Industry. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Customers And Effectively Sell Nutrien's Products And Services.
Knowledge Of Crop Production And Soil Science: A Sales Agronomist Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Crop Production And Soil Science To Provide Valuable Insights And Recommendations To Customers. This Knowledge Will Also Help Them To Identify Opportunities For Nutrien's Products And Services To Improve Crop Yields.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Sales Agronomist, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Customers.
