  1. Provide expert agronomic guidance and support to customers.
  2. Work closely with farmers to understand their needs and goals.
  3. Utilize strong background in agronomy to provide tailored solutions to customers.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  5. Attend farm visits and make sales calls to promote and sell company products.
  6. Keep up-to-date on industry trends and new agricultural technologies.
  7. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  8. Conduct research and analyze data to identify potential customers and market trends.
  9. Attend trade shows and conferences to represent the company and network with potential customers.
  10. Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and market information.
  11. Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing customer concerns and inquiries.
  12. Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and product development, to improve customer satisfaction and meet sales goals.
  13. Stay informed about competitors' products and services.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales performance and meet or exceed targets.
  15. Act as a brand ambassador for Nutrien and promote the company's values and mission.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Agronomy, Crop Science, Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Agronomy Or A Related Field Is Essential For A Sales Agronomist Position At Nutrien.

  • Previous Experience In Sales Or Consulting: Nutrien Values Individuals Who Have Experience In Sales Or Consulting, As This Role Requires The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Customers.

  • Knowledge Of Crop Inputs And Management Practices: A Sales Agronomist At Nutrien Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Crop Inputs And Management Practices In Order To Provide Informed Recommendations To Customers.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role, As Sales Agronomists Are Responsible For Providing Technical Advice And Building Relationships With Customers.

  • Ability To Work Independently And Travel: This Role Requires The Ability To Work Independently And Travel To Various Locations In Order To Meet With Customers And Assess Their Needs. Flexibility And Adaptability Are Key Qualities For A Sales Agronomist At Nutrien.
