- Provide expert guidance and support to customers in achieving their agricultural goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of crop production to recommend the best products and services for customers.
- Actively promote and sell Nutrien's products and services to customers.
- Conduct farm visits and field demonstrations to showcase products and educate customers.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market trends.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to represent Nutrien and network with potential customers.
- Continuously seek opportunities for business growth and customer acquisition.
- Identify and resolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
- Train and mentor new sales team members as needed.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Embrace and promote Nutrien's mission and values in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
- Travel to various locations to meet with customers and attend company events as required.
Bachelor's Degree In Agriculture Or Related Field: A Sales Agronomist At Nutrien Should Possess A Solid Educational Foundation In Agriculture To Understand The Science Behind Crop Production And Be Able To Provide Expert Advice To Customers.
Knowledge Of Local Agriculture Practices And Crop Production: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Local Agriculture Market And Production Practices To Effectively Identify And Meet The Needs Of Customers.
Proven Sales Experience In The Agriculture Industry: This Role Requires A Candidate With A Successful Track Record In Sales, Preferably In The Agriculture Industry, To Effectively Promote And Sell Nutrien's Products And Services.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Sales Agronomist, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Regular Basis. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Understand And Address Customer Needs.
