
Regional Agreement State Program Officer
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is looking for an experienced and highly qualified professional to join our team as a Regional Agreement State Program Officer. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and procedures to ensure that states with Agreement State programs are in compliance with NRC regulations. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to interpret and evaluate regulatory requirements. The successful candidate should possess excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. They should have a comprehensive understanding of nuclear safety and security protocols, as well as a commitment to safety and compliance. To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience in nuclear regulatory oversight and/or relevant regulatory training is preferred. - Develop and implement programs and procedures to ensure that Agreement State programs are compliant with NRC regulations.

- Monitor and evaluate state Agreement State programs.
- Oversee any enforcement actions as necessary.

- Develop policy and guidance documents related to Agreement State programs.
- Provide regular reports on the status of Agreement State programs.
