Job Description

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is seeking an experienced Reactor Inspector to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that the safety of the public, workers, and environment are safeguarded through monitoring and evaluation of nuclear power reactor operations. To succeed in this position, the ideal candidate must have a strong working knowledge of nuclear power reactor operations and safety regulations, as well as excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and evaluate nuclear power reactor operations to ensure safety of the public, workers, and environment.
  2. Maintain a strong working knowledge of nuclear power reactor operations and safety regulations.
  3. Analyze data to identify trends and make sound decisions.
  4. Communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  5. Provide recommendations for improvements to nuclear safety regulations.
  6. Document reports and inspections in accordance with NRC regulations.
  7. Respond to questions and concerns from stakeholders.
  8. Train and mentor junior inspectors.

Job Qualifications
