
Health Physicist
We are looking for an experienced Health Physicist to join the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The successful applicant will be an integral part of the NRC team, providing vital support in the areas of radiation protection, occupational health, and nuclear safety.The ideal candidate should be highly knowledgeable in physics and related sciences, as well as the regulations and standards of radiation control. They should also possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.We are looking for someone who is passionate about nuclear safety and has a strong commitment to protecting public health and safety. The successful applicant should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physics or related field, with at least 5 years of experience in radiation protection or related field.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure radiation safety and regulatory compliance for the NRC.
- Develop and implement radiation protection programs and safety procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate radiation levels in the workplace.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on radiation safety.
- Analyze data and develop action plans to improve safety.
- Train staff on radiation safety and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain radiation protection records.
- Provide technical support to other departments on radiation safety.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
- Monitor and review regulatory developments in radiation safety.
