Job Description

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Electronics Engineer to join our talented team. In this role, you will play an integral part in ensuring the safe operation of nuclear power plants by developing and implementing control systems, analyzing equipment performance, and providing technical advice to the Commission. We are looking for someone with a degree in electronic engineering, computer science, or a related field, as well as at least three years of experience in the nuclear industry. You will also need to have a strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, circuit analysis, and microcontroller programming. The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized, analytical, and able to work independently and collaboratively. They should have excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement control systems to ensure safe operation of nuclear power plants.
  2. Analyze equipment performance and provide technical advice to the Commission.
  3. Design, analyze, and program analog and digital circuits.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports related to projects.
  5. Work collaboratively with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders.
  6. Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve problems.
  7. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  8. Perform regular inspections and tests of nuclear power plants to identify any issues.
  9. Provide support and guidance to other team members.
  10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and reports.
