Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated Deputy Director to join the Division of Security Operations at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The ideal candidate will have expertise in security operations, policy development, regulations, and strategic planning. We are seeking an individual who is organized and detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with others. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in a related field • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience • Comprehensive knowledge of the NRC security regulations • Experience in developing, evaluating, and implementing security operations and security plans • Demonstrated ability to provide direction and leadership in a team environment • Ability to coordinate with other NRC divisions and Federal agencies

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop security operations and security plans in accordance with NRC security regulations.
  2. Manage and oversee team of security professionals in the Division of Security Operations.
  3. Coordinate with other NRC divisions and Federal agencies to ensure effective security operations.
  4. Monitor, analyze, and report on security operations and security plans.
  5. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NRC security regulations.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  7. Conduct regular training and exercises to ensure personnel are up to date with security procedures.
  8. Stay current with relevant security regulations and best practices.
  9. Provide strategic direction and ensure alignment with NRC objectives.
  10. Participate in security-related meetings and conferences.
