Research Technologist

Following overall project objectives, independently designs, plans, conducts and troubleshoots experiments. Evaluates protocols and data obtained from groups of experiments and recommends changes to processes, procedures and techniques to improve quality and validity of results based upon overall project objectives. Act as a lead teaching assistant and course manager for laboratory courses. Ensure lab members including students are compliant with NU safety guidelines. Develop new &/or revised experiments for molecular biology, and bioprocess engineering laboratory courses. Ensure smooth operation of all laboratory equipment. Manage electronic lab notebooks and scientific software. Oversee operation of the teaching laboratory.
