Welcome to Northwestern University's Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department! We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as the SRALab SCI Clinical Chair.   1. Provide leadership and direction for the SRALab SCI department, ensuring the highest quality of patient care, research, and education.
  2. Oversee the development and implementation of innovative treatment plans for individuals with spinal cord injuries.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  4. Mentor and supervise staff members, including physicians, researchers, and clinicians.
  5. Conduct and publish research in the field of spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with external organizations and partners to further advance the department's mission.
  7. Participate in the recruitment and training of new team members.
  8. Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
  9. Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
  10. Represent the department at conferences, seminars, and other professional events.
  11. Serve as a resource and advocate for patients and their families.
  12. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  13. Collaborate with other departments and institutions to promote interdisciplinary research and education.
  14. Develop and manage departmental budget.
  15. Act as a role model for professionalism, compassion, and dedication to patient care and research.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree And Board Certification In Physical Medicine And Rehabilitation (Pm&R)

  • Extensive Experience In The Field Of Spinal Cord Injury (Sci) Rehabilitation

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Experience In Managing A Team Of Clinicians And Researchers

  • Established Track Record Of Research And Publications In Sci Rehabilitation

  • Ability To Secure Funding And Develop Collaborative Partnerships With Other Medical Institutions And Organizations In The Field Of Pm&R And Sci
