Required Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED • Pharmacy Technician Certification • 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting • Knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills • Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work • Ability to multi-task and prioritize • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy software

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist pharmacists in maintaining accurate records of medications, supplies, and customer orders.
  2. Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Prepare medication orders, label and dispense medications as directed by pharmacists.
  4. Maintain current knowledge of drugs, their effects, and interactions.
  5. Ensure the safe and proper disposal of expired or unused medications.
  6. Receive and input prescriptions into patient profiles.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area.
  8. Answer customer inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
  9. Process insurance claims and payments.
  10. Monitor and order supplies as needed.
