  1. Provide expert care to pediatric patients with hematologic malignancies, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  2. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and provide comprehensive care for patients.
  4. Utilize strong background in hematology and oncology to stay up-to-date on current research and treatment options.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (Md Or Do) From An Accredited Institution: A Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist Specializing In Hematologic Malignancies At Northwestern University Should Hold A Medical Degree From A Reputable Institution. This Degree Is Necessary To Practice Medicine And Provide Clinical Care To Patients.

  • Board Certification In Pediatric Hematology/Oncology: To Demonstrate Expertise And Proficiency In The Field Of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, The Candidate Should Be Board Certified By The American Board Of Pediatrics (Abp) In Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

  • Fellowship Training In Pediatric Hematology/Oncology: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have Completed A Fellowship Program Accredited By The Accreditation Council For Graduate Medical Education (Acgme) In Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. This Specialized Training Provides In-Depth Knowledge And Experience In Treating Hematologic Malignancies In Children.

  • Clinical Experience In Pediatric Hematology/Oncology: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Specifically In Treating Hematologic Malignancies In Children. This Experience Should Include Performing Procedures Such As Bone Marrow Biopsies, Lumbar Punctures, And Administering Chemotherapy.

  • Research Experience In Pediatric Hematology/Oncology: As Part Of Northwestern University's Commitment To Advancing Pediatric Cancer Care, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Research Related To Hematologic Malignancies In Children. This May Include Previous Publications, Grant Funding, Or Participation In Clinical Trials Related To The Field.
