Medical Technologist
The Medical Technologist 2 performs high complexity clinical lab procedures in support of the NMH and LCH transplant centers. The procedures are molecular based tissue typing, flow cytometry and solid phase antibody testing and crossmatch. Perform, analyze, and interpret clinical tests including HLA tissue typing using SSP, SSO and SBT techniques, flow cytometric and solid phase HLA antibody screening and crossmatching, and chimerism testing using STR and RT-PCR techniques. Maintenance and QC of laboratory reagents and equipment. Manage clinical lab data and generate reports. Maintain inventories of reagents and lab supplies.
Some previous experience with standard clinical laboratory operating procedures.
MT (ASCP) or CHT certification or two to three years clinical laboratory experience preferred
