
Cytotechnologist
Northwestern University is seeking a talented and highly motivated Cytotechnologist to join our team. The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology, Medical Technology or related field, have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, and have a valid cytology certification or be eligible to obtain one. Responsibilities:
- Perform cytotechnological analysis and diagnostic evaluations of specimens.
- Assist in the preparation of specimens for diagnosis and analysis.
- Utilize microscopes and other laboratory equipment to perform tests and investigations.
- Maintain detailed records of results and documentation of laboratory procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and laboratory guidelines.
- Compile and analyze data to generate reports and results.
- Participate in the development of new laboratory procedures and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support and training to laboratory staff.
- Participate in research projects, conferences, and professional development activities.
