- Manage and maintain patient accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any inquiries or concerns related to their accounts.
- Review and process billing statements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to insurance companies and patients.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances, working to resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as billing and coding, to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to resolve any billing or payment issues.
- Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and changes in insurance policies to ensure compliance and accuracy in billing and collections.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge in patient account management.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, participating in team meetings and sharing best practices to improve overall performance.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Patient Accounting, Medical Billing, Or Revenue Cycle Management.
Knowledge Of Medical Billing And Coding Regulations, Insurance Billing Procedures, And Electronic Health Records.
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Review And Analyze Patient Accounts.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Insurance Companies, And Healthcare Providers.
