  1. Conduct detailed stress analysis of aircraft airframes using industry standard techniques and tools.
  2. Utilize engineering principles and analytical methods to solve complex structural engineering challenges.
  3. Develop and implement stress analysis plans and procedures in accordance with company standards.
  4. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure structural integrity and safety of aircraft.
  5. Conduct investigations and provide technical recommendations for non-conformance issues.
  6. Analyze and interpret test data to verify structural performance and make design improvements.
  7. Work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with stress analysis requirements.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in stress analysis techniques and tools.
  9. Ensure all stress analysis work is completed within project timelines and budget.
  10. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and present analysis findings to management.
  11. Identify and propose solutions to potential structural issues.
  12. Adhere to all safety standards and company policies.
  13. Mentor and train junior engineers on stress analysis techniques and procedures.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  15. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all stress analysis work.

Job Qualifications
  • Degree In Aerospace Engineering Or Related Field: A Stress Analysis Engineer At Northrop Grumman Should Have A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Aerospace Engineering Or A Related Field Such As Mechanical Engineering Or Materials Science.

  • Experience In Airframe Analysis: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Performing Stress Analysis For Aircraft Structures. This Should Include Experience With Airframe Components, Including Wings, Fuselage, And Control Surfaces.

  • Proficiency In Finite Element Analysis (Fea) Software: A Strong Understanding Of Fea Software, Such As Ansys Or Nastran, Is Essential For A Stress Analysis Engineer At Northrop Grumman. The Candidate Should Be Able To Create And Analyze Complex Models And Interpret Results To Make Design Recommendations.

  • Knowledge Of Faa Regulations And Industry Standards: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Faa Regulations And Industry Standards For Airframe Design And Analysis. This Includes Knowledge Of Stress Analysis Methods, Materials Selection, And Fatigue And Damage Tolerance Analysis.

  • Ability To Work In A Team And Communicate Effectively: A Stress Analysis Engineer At Northrop Grumman Will Work Closely With Other Engineers, Designers, And Technicians. The Candidate Should Have Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment To Solve Complex Problems And Meet Project Deadlines.
