  1. Develop and design novel superconducting devices in collaboration with a team of physicists and engineers.
  2. Conduct research and experiments to advance the understanding and application of superconducting materials and devices.

  4. Stay updated on the latest developments and breakthroughs in the field of superconducting devices and incorporate them into project plans.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Physics Or A Related Field: A Staff Superconducting Device Physicist At Northrop Grumman Should Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Physics Or A Related Field Such As Electrical Engineering Or Materials Science. A Phd Is Preferred.

  • Expertise In Superconducting Devices: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background And Experience In The Design, Fabrication, And Testing Of Superconducting Devices Such As Squids, Josephson Junctions, And Superconducting Quantum Circuits.

  • Proficiency In Cryogenics And Low-Temperature Physics: Superconducting Devices Operate At Extremely Low Temperatures, And A Staff Superconducting Device Physicist Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Cryogenics And Low-Temperature Physics.

  • Experience With Experimental Techniques And Instrumentation: The Role Requires Hands-On Experience With Experimental Techniques And Instrumentation For Characterizing Superconducting Devices. This Includes Knowledge Of Electrical Measurements, Microwave Techniques, And Data Analysis.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Staff Superconducting Device Physicist, One Should Have Excellent Analytical Skills And The Ability To Troubleshoot Complex Problems. This Includes A Thorough Understanding Of Theoretical Concepts And The Ability To Apply Them In Practical Situations.
