As a Staff Engineer Human Factors, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing human-centered design solutions for our aerospace and defense products. Your expertise in human factors engineering will be critical in ensuring the safety, usability, and effectiveness of our products.   1. Conduct research and analysis on human factors principles and best practices to inform the design and development of aerospace and defense products.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and product managers to integrate human factors considerations into product development processes.
  3. Design and conduct user studies and evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in product design.
  4. Develop and implement human-centered design solutions that optimize the safety, usability, and effectiveness of our products.
  5. Evaluate and assess the impact of human factors on product performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  6. Utilize industry standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
  7. Communicate and present human factors data and recommendations to stakeholders, including leadership and customers.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in human factors and user-centered design to continuously improve processes and methodologies.
  9. Mentor and train junior human factors engineers to develop their skills and knowledge in the field.
  10. Collaborate with external partners and contractors to support human factors research and development efforts.
  11. Maintain accurate documentation and records of human factors research, evaluations, and design solutions.
  12. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Relevant Experience In Human Factors Engineering, Preferably In The Aerospace And Defense Industry.

  • Experience With Human Factors Analysis, Testing, And Evaluation Methods, Including Usability Testing, Task Analysis, And Human Performance Modeling.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Human-Computer Interaction Principles, User-Centered Design, And Human Factors Standards And Guidelines.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Multidisciplinary Team And Present Findings To Stakeholders.
