Design and develop innovative mechanical systems and components for aerospace and defense projects.
Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers to ensure project deadlines and deliverables are met.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential design improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other engineering disciplines.
Utilize CAD software to create and modify detailed engineering drawings and models.
Conduct rigorous testing and validation of mechanical systems to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering to continuously improve design processes and techniques.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
Mentor and train junior engineers to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Mechanical Engineering: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 15 Years Of Experience In Mechanical Engineering, With A Strong Track Record Of Delivering Complex Projects And Leading Teams.
Expertise In Advanced Design And Analysis Tools: The Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Advanced Design And Analysis Tools Such As Cad, Fea, And Cfd. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Implementing New Design Methodologies.
Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills: This Role Requires The Candidate To Have Excellent Leadership And Project Management Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Lead A Team, Manage Project Timelines, And Communicate With Stakeholders At All Levels.
