Develop and implement data system architectures for large-scale, complex systems.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of system requirements and design data solutions that meet business needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and execute data architecture projects.
Ensure data system designs align with company and industry standards and best practices.
Identify and address potential data system issues and provide solutions.
Lead and mentor a team of data architects and engineers.
Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends related to data management and system architecture.
Develop and maintain documentation for data system architectures.
Communicate progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
Collaborate with project managers, software engineers, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of data system designs.
Evaluate and implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of data systems to ensure optimal performance.
Manage and oversee data system testing and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and policies.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the data architecture team.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements.
Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance data system efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resources for data architecture projects.
Represent the company as a subject matter expert in data system architecture at conferences, seminars, and industry events.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Data Architecture: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Data Architecture, Including Designing, Implementing, And Maintaining Complex Data Systems. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Database Management, Data Governance, And Data Modeling.
Strong Technical Background: A Senior Principal Data System Architect At Northrop Grumman Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Data Management, Systems Integration, And Software Development. They Should Be Proficient In Various Programming Languages, Database Management Systems, And Data Visualization Tools.
Leadership Skills: This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills, As The Senior Principal Data System Architect Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Data Architects And Engineers.
