- Maintain and enhance the Linux computing infrastructure for Northrop Grumman.
- Continuously monitor and troubleshoot system issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular system updates and upgrades to improve functionality and security.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement new system solutions.
- Create and maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures.
- Monitor system capacity and make recommendations for necessary upgrades.
- Work closely with software developers to integrate new applications into the Linux environment.
- Train and mentor junior members of the team on Linux system administration best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Linux technology and make recommendations for implementation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to system administration.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to provide timely and efficient support.
- Proactively identify and address potential system vulnerabilities and security threats.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues.
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Strong Understanding Of Networking Concepts And Experience With Network Troubleshooting.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Linux System Administration, Preferably In A Large Enterprise Environment.
Proficiency In Managing And Troubleshooting Complex Linux Systems, Including Red Hat, Centos, And Ubuntu.
Experience With Automation And Scripting Tools Such As Ansible, Puppet, Or Chef.
