  1. Maintain and enhance the Linux computing infrastructure for Northrop Grumman.
  2. Continuously monitor and troubleshoot system issues to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Conduct regular system updates and upgrades to improve functionality and security.
  4. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement new system solutions.
  5. Create and maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures.
  6. Monitor system capacity and make recommendations for necessary upgrades.
  7. Work closely with software developers to integrate new applications into the Linux environment.
  8. Train and mentor junior members of the team on Linux system administration best practices.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Linux technology and make recommendations for implementation.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to system administration.
  11. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
  12. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to provide timely and efficient support.
  13. Proactively identify and address potential system vulnerabilities and security threats.
  14. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues.
  15. Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Understanding Of Networking Concepts And Experience With Network Troubleshooting.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Linux System Administration, Preferably In A Large Enterprise Environment.

  • Proficiency In Managing And Troubleshooting Complex Linux Systems, Including Red Hat, Centos, And Ubuntu.

  • Experience With Automation And Scripting Tools Such As Ansible, Puppet, Or Chef.
