Develop and implement testing strategies and plans for new and existing products.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of test plans.
Monitor and track testing progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Manage and allocate resources for testing activities, including personnel and equipment.
Identify and mitigate any potential risks or issues that may impact testing.
Conduct thorough analysis of test results and provide recommendations for improvements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and troubleshoot any technical issues.
Communicate with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and address any concerns.
Develop and maintain relationships with external testing partners.
Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate new testing methodologies and technologies as needed.
Mentor and train junior members of the testing team.
Maintain accurate documentation of all testing procedures and results.
Evaluate and optimize testing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in project planning and budgeting discussions.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Test Program Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Managing Complex Test Programs In The Aerospace And Defense Industry. This Should Include Experience In Defining Test Strategies, Managing Resources, And Overseeing The Execution Of Test Plans.
Strong Technical Background: A Principal Test Program Manager Should Possess A Strong Technical Background In Engineering, Preferably In A Relevant Field Such As Electrical, Mechanical, Or Aerospace Engineering. This Knowledge Is Critical In Understanding And Overseeing The Various Technical Aspects Of Test Programs.
Leadership And Team Management Skills: This Role Requires Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills To Effectively Lead A Team Of Engineers And Technicians. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Motivating Cross-Functional Teams To Achieve Project Goals.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Key Point Of Contact Between Different Stakeholders, A Principal Test Program Manager Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders And Build Strong Relationships With Clients And Vendors.
Project Management Expertise: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Project Management Principles And Methodologies. This Includes Experience In Developing And Managing Project Schedules, Budgets, And Resource Allocation To Ensure The Timely And Successful Completion Of Test Programs.
