Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement secure software solutions.
Lead the implementation of DevSecOps/DevOps principles and practices within the software development process.
Conduct thorough security assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities in software design and coding.
Develop and maintain software security protocols and standards.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to security standards.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in DevSecOps/DevOps.
Develop and maintain automated testing processes to ensure security throughout the software development lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with clients to understand their security requirements and provide customized solutions.
Mentor and train junior team members on DevSecOps/DevOps practices and principles.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and any potential security risks.
Continuously evaluate and improve the DevSecOps/DevOps processes and technologies used within the organization.
Act as a subject matter expert on DevSecOps/DevOps practices and provide guidance to team members and other departments.
Comply with company policies and procedures related to information security.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Software Engineering: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Software Engineering, With A Strong Background In Development, Testing, And Deployment Of Secure Software Systems.
Expertise In Devsecops/Devops Methodologies: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Devsecops/Devops Principles And Practices, Including Continuous Integration And Continuous Delivery (Ci/Cd), Infrastructure As Code, And Automated Testing.
Strong Knowledge Of Security Best Practices: As A Principal Software Engineer, The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Security Best Practices And Be Able To Implement Them Throughout The Software Development Lifecycle. This Includes Knowledge Of Common Security Vulnerabilities And How To Mitigate Them.
Familiarity With Cloud Computing And Containerization: Northrop Grumman Utilizes Cloud Computing And Containerization In Their Software Development Processes. Therefore, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Cloud Platforms Such As Aws, As Well As Containerization Tools Such As Docker And Kubernetes.
Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Principal Software Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Lead And Mentor A Team Of Engineers. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential In Order To Effectively Collaborate With Team Members, Stakeholders, And Other Departments Within Northrop Grumman.
