Lead and manage quality assurance activities for all products and systems within the company.
Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure products and processes meet the highest standards of quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of product and process documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Develop and maintain quality metrics to track and report on the effectiveness of quality control processes.
Provide guidance and training to team members on quality standards, processes, and procedures.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in quality assurance to continuously improve processes and procedures.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure their products and processes meet quality standards.
Lead and participate in quality audits and support regulatory inspections.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
Communicate and report on quality issues, concerns, and improvements to upper management.
Mentor and develop junior quality engineers within the team.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Quality Engineering: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Quality Engineering, With A Strong Understanding Of Quality Control Processes, Tools, And Techniques.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Principal Quality Engineer, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Quality Engineers And Ensuring The Successful Execution Of Quality Control Plans. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations: Northrop Grumman Operates In Highly Regulated Industries, Such As Aerospace And Defense. The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations, Such As As9100, Iso 9001, And Itar.
Technical Expertise: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Engineering, With A Focus On Quality Control And Assurance. They Should Be Proficient In Using Quality Tools And Techniques, Such As Statistical Process Control, Root Cause Analysis, And Failure Mode And Effects Analysis.
Continuous Improvement Mindset: Northrop Grumman Values Continuous Improvement And Innovation. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Track Record Of Implementing Process Improvements And Driving A Culture Of Quality Throughout The Organization.
