Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the development and implementation of innovative solutions for aerospace and defense technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test new products and systems.
Lead and manage projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Conduct research and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
Stay current with industry developments and trends to continuously improve processes and procedures.
Mentor and train junior engineers to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
Represent the company in meetings and conferences, presenting technical information and recommendations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
Continuously review and improve field engineering processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide guidance and support to field technicians and other team members to ensure successful project execution.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Act as a role model for professionalism, collaboration, and commitment to quality work.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree In Engineering: A Principal Field Engineer At Northrop Grumman Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Engineering Discipline, Such As Electrical, Mechanical, Or Aerospace Engineering.
Minimum 10 Years Of Experience: Northrop Grumman Requires Candidates For The Principal Field Engineer Position To Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Defense Or Aerospace Industry.
Strong Technical Skills: The Principal Field Engineer Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Proficient In Various Engineering Software And Tools Used In The Field. This Includes Experience In Troubleshooting And Solving Complex Engineering Problems.
Leadership And Project Management Experience: As A Principal Field Engineer, One Should Have Experience Leading A Team Of Engineers And Managing Projects From Start To Finish. This Includes Planning, Organizing, And Coordinating Resources To Ensure Project Success.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: The Principal Field Engineer Will Be Expected To Communicate Effectively With Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Clients And Team Members. Therefore, Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential For This Role.
