  1. Develop and maintain safety requirements and standards for advanced systems.
  2. Conduct safety analyses and assessments to identify potential hazards and risks.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety considerations are integrated into system design and development.
  4. Review and approve design changes and modifications to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
  5. Identify and implement safety measures to mitigate risks and hazards.
  6. Conduct safety reviews and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry safety standards and regulations and ensure they are incorporated into our processes.
  8. Provide technical expertise and guidance on safety-related issues to project teams.
  9. Develop and maintain safety documentation and reports.
  10. Lead and participate in safety training programs for team members.
  11. Communicate safety concerns and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  12. Participate in customer meetings and presentations related to system safety.
  13. Conduct root cause analyses for safety incidents and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  14. Mentor and train junior engineers on safety processes and procedures.
  15. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Engineering Field, Such As Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Systems Engineering, With A Focus On Systems Safety Engineering.

  • Experience With Developing And Implementing Safety Programs In Compliance With Industry Standards, Such As Mil-Std-882, Do-178B/C, Do-254, And/Or Arp-4761.

  • Strong Understanding Of System Safety Analysis Techniques, Such As Fault Tree Analysis (Fta) And Failure Modes And Effects Analysis (Fmea).

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Safety Recommendations To Senior Management.
