As a Principal Engineer Supplier Quality, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our supply chain. You will be responsible for evaluating and monitoring our suppliers' performance, identifying areas for improvement, and driving continuous quality enhancements.   1. Evaluate and monitor suppliers' performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements set by Northrop Grumman.
  2. Identify areas for improvement in the supply chain and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure open communication and collaboration.
  4. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to assess quality processes and capabilities.
  5. Create and maintain supplier quality metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supplier quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to suppliers on quality requirements and processes.
  8. Develop and maintain supplier quality agreements and contracts.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supplier quality management.
  10. Drive continuous quality enhancements through process improvements and supplier development initiatives.
  11. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and services from suppliers to meet project deadlines.
  12. Maintain accurate and thorough records of supplier quality performance and maintain proper documentation.
  13. Train and mentor junior members of the supplier quality team.
  14. Represent Northrop Grumman in supplier meetings and negotiations.
  15. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field, With A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Supplier Quality Management And Engineering.

  • Extensive Knowledge And Understanding Of Quality Standards And Regulations Such As Iso 9001, As9100, And Itar.

  • Proven Experience In Developing And Implementing Supplier Quality Processes And Procedures To Ensure The Delivery Of High-Quality Products And Services.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team Of Supplier Quality Engineers.

  • Experience In Working With Cross-Functional Teams And Suppliers To Resolve Quality Issues And Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
