Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes to ensure the integrity and reliability of products and processes.
Lead a team of engineers and technicians to execute quality control plans and resolve quality issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality concerns throughout the product development and manufacturing process.
Conduct thorough inspections and tests on products to identify any defects or deviations from specifications.
Analyze data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of quality control processes.
Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex quality issues.
Ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards and regulations.
Train and mentor team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including presenting findings and recommendations to leadership.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality control technology and techniques.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of quality control processes and procedures.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Take ownership of quality control processes and continuously strive for excellence.
Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide quality initiatives.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Quality Engineering: A Principal Engineer - Quality At Northrop Grumman Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Quality Engineering, With A Proven Track Record Of Implementing And Managing Quality Programs.
Strong Leadership Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Lead And Mentor A Team Of Quality Engineers. They Should Have Experience In Managing And Developing People, Setting Clear Goals And Expectations, And Providing Constructive Feedback.
Expertise In Quality Management Systems: A Principal Engineer - Quality Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Quality Management Systems, Such As Iso 9001, As9100, And Cmmi. They Should Have Experience In Developing, Implementing, And Maintaining These Systems To Ensure Compliance And Continuous Improvement.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations: As A Principal Engineer, The Candidate Should Be Well-Versed In Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Quality, Such As Faa Regulations, Itar, And Nist Standards. They Should Have Experience In Ensuring Compliance With These Requirements In A Complex And Highly Regulated Environment.
Excellent Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills: The Role Of A Principal Engineer - Quality Involves Identifying And Resolving Complex Quality Issues. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Think Critically And Make Data-Driven Decisions. They Should Also Have Experience In Using Quality Tools And Techniques, Such As Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, And Statistical Process Control.
