Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Physics Or Related Field: A Principal Computational Physicist At Northrop Grumman Should Have At Least A Master's Degree In Physics, Applied Mathematics, Or A Related Field. A Phd Is Preferred.

  • Extensive Experience In Computational Modeling And Simulation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Computational Physics And Be Proficient In Various Modeling And Simulation Tools. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Complex Algorithms.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Software And Programming Languages: A Principal Computational Physicist Should Be Familiar With Software Packages Such As Comsol, Ansys, And Matlab, As Well As Programming Languages Like C++, Fortran, And Python. They Should Also Have Experience In Using Parallel Computing And High-Performance Computing Techniques.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Ability To Analyze Complex Data And Solve Challenging Problems Is Crucial For This Role. A Strong Understanding Of Physics Principles And Their Application In Simulations Is Essential.

  • Team Leadership And Project Management Experience: As A Principal Computational Physicist, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Lead And Manage A Team Of Scientists And Engineers. Therefore, Experience In Team Leadership, Project Management, And Communication Skills Are Highly Desirable.
