  • Perform nondestructive testing on various components and systems using advanced methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, and magnetic particle testing.
  • Develop and implement testing procedures and techniques to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy in our products and systems.
  • Analyze and interpret test results to identify any defects or anomalies, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure that NDT requirements are incorporated into product designs.
  • Monitor and maintain testing equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Document and report all testing activities and results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and technological developments in the field of nondestructive testing, and make recommendations for their implementation within the company.
  • Train and mentor junior NDT technicians to ensure they are following proper procedures and producing accurate results.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance NDT processes and procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as safety regulations, to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering: A Ndt Engineer At Northrop Grumman Should Possess A Minimum Of Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical, Electrical, Or Aerospace Engineering. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Mathematics, Physics, And Engineering Principles.

  • Ndt Certifications: A Ndt Engineer Should Have Relevant Certifications In Nondestructive Testing Methods Such As Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, And Visual Inspection. These Certifications Demonstrate A Thorough Understanding Of Ndt Principles And Techniques.

  • Experience With Ndt Equipment: Northrop Grumman Requires A Ndt Engineer To Have Hands-On Experience With Various Ndt Equipment And Tools. This Includes Proficiency In Operating And Interpreting Results From Advanced Equipment Such As Ultrasonic Phased Array Systems And Eddy Current Testing Equipment.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards: A Ndt Engineer Should Have A Strong Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Codes Such As Asnt, Astm, And Iso. These Standards Provide Guidelines For Conducting Ndt Procedures And Ensure Compliance With Safety And Quality Regulations.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Northrop Grumman Seeks Ndt Engineers With Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Analyze Ndt Data And Identify Potential Defects Or Anomalies In Materials.
