  1. Perform non-destructive testing on aerospace and defense products to detect any potential flaws or defects.
  2. Utilize a variety of non-destructive testing methods, such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant, to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
  3. Follow established procedures and standards to accurately perform non-destructive tests.
  4. Record and analyze test results, and report any anomalies or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  5. Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate and precise testing results.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing tests.
  7. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with testing equipment or processes.
  8. Continuously monitor and improve testing procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in non-destructive testing techniques.
  10. Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
  11. Maintain proper documentation and records of all testing activities.
  12. Communicate test results and findings to relevant team members and stakeholders.
  13. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Non-Destructive Testing (Ndt) Principles And Techniques - The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Various Ndt Methods Such As Ultrasonic, Radiographic, Magnetic Particle, And Liquid Penetrant Testing, As Well As The Ability To Interpret And Analyze Results Accurately.

  • Certification In Ndt Methods - Northrop Grumman Requires Candidates To Possess Relevant Certifications In Ndt Methods Such As Asnt Level Ii Or Iii, Nas-410, Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Technician Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Ndt Tasks Effectively.

  • Familiarity With Aerospace Industry Standards And Regulations - As A Leading Aerospace And Defense Company, Northrop Grumman Adheres To Stringent Industry Standards And Regulations. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Working Knowledge Of These Standards, Such As Astm, Asme, And Mil-Std, To Ensure Compliance With Requirements And Specifications.

  • Attention To Detail And Strong Analytical Skills - Ndt Technicians Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify And Analyze Even The Smallest Defects In Materials And Structures. They Should Also Be Able To Accurately Document And Report Their Findings.

  • Physical And Technical Aptitude - Ndt Technicians Often Work In Physically Demanding Environments, Such As Confined Spaces Or At Heights. They Should Also Have Good Hand-Eye Coordination, Dexterity, And Technical Aptitude To Operate Complex Equipment And Perform Tasks With Precision.
