
Mission Assurance/ Principal Mission Assurance Engineer

- Ensure the quality, reliability, and safety of all Northrop Grumman products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mission assurance strategies and processes.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify potential hazards or issues that may impact mission success.
- Develop and maintain quality control procedures and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives and root cause analysis activities.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on mission assurance processes and procedures.
- Monitor and track product and process performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor team members on mission assurance principles, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to mission assurance and proactively implement necessary changes.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers and provide support during audits and inspections.
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure mission assurance requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead investigations into product or process failures and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure their products meet quality and reliability standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of mission assurance activities.
- Provide regular reports and updates on mission assurance activities to senior management.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field, With A Focus On Quality Assurance Or Mission Assurance.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In The Aerospace And Defense Industry, With A Strong Understanding Of Mission Assurance Principles And Processes.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations, Such As As9100 And Mil-Std-882.
Experience Leading Teams And Managing Complex Projects, With A Focus On Risk Management And Mitigation.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Senior Management.
