  1. Develop and implement material control strategies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  2. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the materials control department.
  3. Ensure that all materials are accurately tracked, accounted for, and available for production.
  4. Collaborate with various departments to forecast material needs and develop inventory plans.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and identify areas for improvement, such as reducing excess or obsolete materials.
  6. Lead and mentor a team of material control specialists to ensure high-quality work and adherence to company standards.
  7. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  8. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  9. Develop and maintain metrics to measure the effectiveness of the materials control processes.
  10. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines related to materials handling.
  11. Work closely with other departments, such as production and engineering, to coordinate materials flow and resolve any issues or delays.
  12. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in materials management to identify opportunities for improvement.
  13. Analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  14. Develop and manage budgets for materials control operations.
  15. Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Material Control Or Supply Chain Management.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems And Processes.

  • Experience Managing A Team And Implementing Process Improvements.

  • Familiarity With Government Contracting And Regulations Related To Material Control And Procurement.
