- Develop and implement efficient and effective manufacturing processes for the production of innovative products and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues and improve product quality and efficiency.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
- Utilize knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and specifications.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology to ensure Northrop Grumman remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on new processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards in the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and equipment necessary for production.
- Participate in new product development and provide input on design for manufacturability.
- Continuously seek out opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in the manufacturing process.
- Communicate regularly with management and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement in all aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field, Such As Mechanical, Industrial, Or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Manufacturing Engineering, Preferably In The Aerospace Or Defense Industry.
Proficiency In Manufacturing Processes And Techniques, Including Cad/Cam Software, Cnc Machining, And Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills And Ability To Troubleshoot Technical Issues In A Fast-Paced Production Environment.
Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Standards, Such As As9100 And Iso 9001, And Experience With Quality Control And Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
