- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with department managers to assess and address safety concerns and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Train and educate employees on safety protocols and procedures, including emergency response and evacuation plans.
- Manage and maintain safety records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the company's safety program.
- Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Oversee the procurement and maintenance of safety equipment and supplies.
- Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees at all levels, including new hire orientations.
- Lead and mentor a team of safety professionals to ensure a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to promote safety awareness and compliance.
- Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on safety performance and initiatives.
- Develop and monitor safety metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to environmental health and safety.
- Continuously seek out ways to improve and enhance the company's safety program.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Health And Safety Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Environmental Health And Safety Management.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Environmental Health And Safety.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Implement And Monitor Safety Protocols And Procedures.
