  1. Perform daily system monitoring and maintenance tasks to ensure all systems are running efficiently and effectively.
  2. Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software applications.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Linux systems, including hardware, software, and network.
  4. Ensure system security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to plan and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  6. Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
  7. Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for all systems.
  8. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Linux systems administration.
  9. Train and educate other team members on Linux systems and processes.
  10. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely and accurate updates on system status and issues.
  11. Manage user accounts and permissions to maintain system security and access control.
  12. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system performance.
  13. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
  14. Collaborate with other teams to implement new technologies and processes for system improvement.
  15. Follow company policies and procedures to maintain compliance and security standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Proficiency In Linux Operating Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Linux Operating Systems, Including Installation, Configuration, And Troubleshooting.

  • Experience With Virtualization Technologies: Northrop Grumman Often Uses Virtualization Technologies Such As Vmware And Openstack, So Experience With These Tools Is Highly Desirable.

  • Knowledge Of Networking Concepts: A Linux Systems Administrator At Northrop Grumman Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Networking Concepts, Including Tcp/Ip, Dns, Dhcp, And Routing.
