  1. Assist in conducting safety and environmental audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks.
  2. Develop and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  4. Conduct research and analysis on industry best practices and make recommendations for improvements.
  5. Participate in the development and delivery of training programs on safety and environmental practices.
  6. Monitor and track safety and environmental metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  7. Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  8. Maintain and update safety and environmental records and documentation.
  9. Communicate safety and environmental regulations and policies to employees and ensure their understanding and compliance.
  10. Assist in managing emergency response procedures and protocols.
  11. Stay informed on current and upcoming safety and environmental regulations and advise the company on compliance requirements.
  12. Collaborate with external agencies and consultants to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  13. Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives and programs.
  14. Conduct safety and environmental risk assessments and make recommendations for mitigation.
  15. Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans.
  16. Other duties as assigned by the Environmental Health and Safety team.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Environmental Health And Safety Regulations: Candidates Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Environmental Health And Safety, Including Osha, Epa, And Dot Guidelines.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For An Ehs Intern To Effectively Convey Safety Protocols And Procedures To Employees And Management. Candidates Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Concisely Both Verbally And In Writing.

  • Attention To Detail: The Nature Of An Ehs Intern's Job Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Identify Potential Hazards And Ensure Compliance With Safety Regulations. Candidates Should Possess Strong Observation Skills And Be Able To Accurately Document And Report Any Safety Concerns.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Ehs Intern Will Be Responsible For Analyzing Data And Identifying Potential Risks And Hazards In The Workplace. Candidates Should Have Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills To Develop Effective Solutions And Preventative Measures.

  • Teamwork And Collaboration: The Ehs Intern Will Work Closely With Other Members Of The Environmental Health And Safety Team, As Well As With Employees And Management From Different Departments. Candidates Should Be Able To Work Effectively In A Team Environment And Collaborate With Others To Achieve Common Safety Goals.
