Conduct precision measurements and inspections on advanced aerospace and defense systems using various tools and techniques.
Ensure all dimensions and tolerances meet engineering specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all measurements and inspections performed.
Perform regular maintenance and calibration of measurement tools and equipment.
Identify and report any potential quality issues or concerns.
Participate in quality control and assurance processes to ensure the highest level of accuracy and precision.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing duties.
Continuously improve and optimize dimension control processes and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and technical knowledge related to dimension control.
Train and mentor junior technicians on dimension control techniques and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Meet production deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity.
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operation.

Job Qualifications

Technical Knowledge: A Dimension Control Technician At Northrop Grumman Must Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Mechanical, Electrical, And Optical Principles To Accurately Measure And Inspect Components.
Precision Measurement Skills: The Ability To Use A Variety Of Precision Measuring Instruments, Such As Calipers, Micrometers, And Coordinate Measuring Machines, Is Essential For A Dimension Control Technician To Ensure Accurate And Consistent Results.
Quality Control Experience: Experience In Quality Control Processes And Procedures, Including Statistical Process Control And Six Sigma Methodologies, Is Necessary For A Dimension Control Technician To Identify And Correct Any Deviations From Specifications.
Computer Skills: Proficiency In Using Computer-Aided Design (Cad) Software And Computer-Aided Measurement (Cam) Software Is Important For A Dimension Control Technician To Create And Analyze 3D Models And Inspection Reports.
