- Greet and welcome students to Northern State University in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for students residing in residential halls.
- Provide support and guidance to students in the residential halls, including addressing any concerns or issues they may have.
- Ensure that all residential hall policies and procedures are being followed by students.
- Monitor and report any safety or security concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with other residential services professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Serve as a positive role model for students and uphold the values and mission of Northern State University.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and incidents in the residential halls.
- Collaborate with campus resources, such as counseling services and academic advisors, to provide comprehensive support for students.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty to ensure a smooth and successful living experience for students.
- Be available for on-call duties and respond promptly to any emergencies or urgent situations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the residential living experience for students, seeking feedback and implementing changes as needed.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to all university policies and procedures, including those related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information in a professional and ethical manner.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Residential Services.
Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Residential Setting With Individuals With Disabilities.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Residential Services For Individuals With Disabilities.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Residents, Staff, And Families.
Ability To Handle Emergency Situations Calmly And Effectively And Make Sound Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.
