  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive grant writing strategy to secure funding for Northern State University.
  2. Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the university's mission and priorities.
  3. Write and submit compelling grant proposals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
  4. Collaborate with university departments and faculty to gather necessary information and data for grant proposals.
  5. Maintain relationships with current and potential funders, providing regular updates and reports on grant progress and impact.
  6. Monitor and track grant revenue and expenses, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and reporting requirements.
  7. Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to promote the university's mission and programs to various stakeholders.
  8. Create and edit written materials such as press releases, social media posts, and newsletters to effectively communicate the university's initiatives and achievements.
  9. Collaborate with university departments to develop and implement marketing and communication plans for events and initiatives.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in grant writing and communications to continuously improve strategies and processes.
  11. Represent the university at events and conferences to network and promote the university's mission and initiatives.
  12. Serve as a liaison between the university and external partners, building and maintaining positive relationships to support grant funding and communication efforts.
  13. Ensure all grant and communication efforts align with the university's brand and messaging.
  14. Train and support university staff and faculty in grant writing and communication strategies.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the university administration.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Non-Profit Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In Grant Writing And Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Information To Diverse Audiences.

  • Knowledge Of Fundraising Strategies And Techniques, As Well As Experience With Donor Stewardship And Cultivation.

  • Familiarity With Grant Databases And Research Tools, As Well As Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Adobe Creative Suite.
