- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in counseling, including but not limited to theories, research methods, and clinical practice.
- Provide academic and career advising to students in the counseling program.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication in relevant fields of counseling.
- Serve as a mentor and role model to students, promoting their personal and professional growth.
- Supervise and evaluate students in practicum and internship placements.
- Participate in curriculum development and assessment to ensure program quality and relevance.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and professionals in the field to enhance the program's resources and offerings.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a diverse and inclusive learning environment for students.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current in the field of counseling.
- Actively participate in department and university committees and meetings.
- Cultivate relationships with community organizations and agencies to create opportunities for students to gain practical experience.
- Participate in student recruitment and retention efforts.
- Maintain necessary credentials and licensure for teaching and practicing in the field of counseling.
A Doctoral Degree In Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Teaching At The University Level.
Demonstrated Expertise In One Or More Areas Of Counseling, Such As Marriage And Family Therapy, School Counseling, Or Mental Health Counseling.
Active State Licensure As A Professional Counselor Or Eligibility For Licensure.
Strong Research Skills And A Record Of Scholarly Publications In The Field Of Counseling.
