Develop and implement localization strategies for Nintendo's games, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness for our global audience.
Collaborate with project teams to identify localization needs and provide technical solutions for implementing translations.
Conduct thorough localization reviews and provide feedback to translators to ensure high-quality translations.
Utilize localization tools and software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in localization technology.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and translators, to ensure smooth and timely localization of games.
Create and maintain style guides and glossaries to ensure consistency across all localized content.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to localization.
Coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of translations and adherence to quality standards.
Train and mentor junior localization team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
Continuously evaluate and improve localization processes to enhance the overall gaming experience for our global audience.
Work closely with international teams to understand cultural nuances and adapt translations accordingly.
Monitor and report on localization metrics to assess the success and impact of localization efforts.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Localization Of Video Games - A Senior Technical Localization Specialist At Nintendo Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Localization Of Video Games, With A Strong Understanding Of The Localization Process And Tools.
Proficiency In Multiple Languages - The Candidate Must Be Fluent In At Least Two Languages, With A Deep Understanding Of Cultural Nuances And Localization Best Practices.
Strong Technical Skills - A Senior Technical Localization Specialist Should Have A Strong Technical Background, With Experience In Programming Languages Such As C++, Java And Scripting Languages Like Python And Perl. They Should Also Be Familiar With Localization Tools Such As Sdl Trados, Memoq, And Passolo.
