Job Description

Nintendo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Localization to join our team. As the Manager, you will lead a team responsible for adapting our games and products for global audiences.   1. Oversee the localization process for all Nintendo games and products, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and cultural sensitivity.
  2. Lead a team of localization specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work.
  3. Collaborate with game developers, producers, and other teams to determine localization needs for new and existing products.
  4. Develop and maintain localization guidelines and best practices for the company.
  5. Manage localization budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely delivery of localized content.
  6. Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in localization technology.
  7. Coordinate with external translation and localization vendors to ensure the highest quality of work.
  8. Review and approve all localized content to ensure it meets Nintendo's standards and brand guidelines.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure clear and efficient communication throughout the localization process.
  10. Identify and address any localization issues or challenges that may arise, finding creative solutions to ensure the best possible result.
  11. Participate in the recruitment and hiring of new team members, ensuring a diverse and talented team.
  12. Act as a cultural liaison, providing expertise and guidance on cultural nuances and sensitivities to ensure the localization is culturally appropriate.
  13. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the localization process, making improvements and adjustments as needed.
  14. Represent Nintendo at industry events and conferences, sharing best practices and promoting the company's localization efforts.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a passion for languages, cultures, and gaming within the team.
