Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property & Disputes

Manage outside counsel in all facets of complex litigation, with an emphasis on IP litigation. Negotiate and resolve patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret non-litigation disputes. Manage trademark opposition matters. Manage domain name disputes, including those conducted under Uniform Domain Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) or similar. Draft and negotiate license agreements or other high-risk settlement agreements. Manage patent clearance and brand expansion activities, including by working closely with internal and external IP professionals to determine trademark and patent filing strategies. Work closely with engineering departments and parent company on product technology issues that may impact claims or litigation. Respond to various IP inquiries from, and provide legal advice to, Nintendo’s parent company, subsidiaries and other Nintendo of America departments. Provide legal advice to company departments, subsidiaries, and affiliates. Conduct in-house training seminars.
