  1. Collaborate with game development teams to ensure accurate and culturally appropriate localization of games for global audiences.
  2. Translate and adapt game content, including text, audio, and visuals, into multiple languages.
  3. Conduct thorough research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of cultural references and gaming terminology in target languages.
  4. Review and edit translations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  5. Work closely with project managers to establish and meet localization deadlines.
  6. Provide linguistic and cultural expertise to assist in the development of game content.
  7. Identify and troubleshoot potential localization issues and provide solutions.
  8. Communicate with external translation and localization vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of localized assets.
  9. Conduct linguistic and functional testing of localized games to ensure overall quality and user experience.
  10. Continuously monitor and suggest improvements to localization processes and guidelines.
  11. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in localization technology.
  12. Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to ensure localization of promotional materials and campaigns.
  13. Provide support and training to internal teams on localization processes and best practices.
  14. Maintain localization databases and glossaries to ensure consistency and accuracy across all projects.
  15. Represent Nintendo as a localization expert at industry events and conferences.

Job Qualifications
  • Fluency In Both English And Japanese Language, As Well As A Deep Understanding Of Cultural Nuances And Localization Principles.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Video Game Localization, Preferably Within The Gaming Industry.

  • Familiarity With Nintendo's Game Franchises And Their Unique Styles And Tone Of Voice.

  • Excellent Project Management Skills To Oversee Localization Projects And Coordinate With Various Teams And External Vendors.

  • Proficiency In Localization Software And Tools, Such As Cat Tools, Translation Memory, And Glossaries.
